Short Films & Networking at The Albany

Hello all! We need your short films for our next short films and networking evening!

The event will be on Sunday 17th November at 7.30pm.

If you would like your film to be considered for screening, please get in touch with either myself or Ben Green (co-organiser). You'll need to include some brief details about your film plus a link to download the file. We require films no longer than 10 minutes in length. In exceptional circumstances (if the film is exceptional!) we will consider longer films.

Deadline for submissions is Sunday 10th November.

ENTRY IS FREE. This event is open to everyone (you don't need to be a filmmaker). It's a great networking opportunity and is of course a great chance to see some high quality short films, Q&As with filmmakers and more. There will a break at half time, so there will be opportunities for networking both during the break and at the end of the evening.

Due to a technical hitch at our previous venue, two films ("Pass the Comb" by Abi Lawal; and "The State of Things" by Paolo Nutile) were not able to be shown. These will be shown this time instead.

For more information about the Albany, see

Hope to see you there!

Hey! Just finished rehearsal for the play I am doing this week, so I am a bit knackered, because we started at 10am. I will attend the next one, sorry. I hope you are all enjoying it.
By the way, I just completed my website, check it out:
And if you need an actress, get in touch, I would love to get involved.

Hi, Can I ask a question? When you screen a film is it open to the public or the industry?

    October 8, 2013

    • James S.

Hi Teresa, We are considering opening it up to the public at some venues, for a small entry fee. But generally speaking the films are only shown to members of this group. If that happens to include some industry people then the answer to your question would be yes... Hope that helps! James
