Want to come to understand why film works, how it works, what it means, and what effects it has on people?  Or, maybe you prefer to assess the artistic merit and public appeal of a movie?

Your review/discussion should be organized as follows:

1) Provide a brief summary of the film;

2) State your opinion of the movie;

3) What character(s) do you most identify with?

4) In your opinion, what was the director's intention or message?

5) How does the film relate to American culture? Specifically, how does it relate to the era in which it was made?

6) Finally, give the movie your rating.

The group will also participate in or sponsor film festivals, attend press junkets, host private screenings, promote outdoor viewings and review upcoming DVDs or online movies (NETFLIX, etc.).
