'FINDING JOE' - Darlinghurst Screening + Post-film dinner at Govindas

President Obama personally requested a copy of this film. Finding Joe is a truly inspirational narrative for how to live a fully realized life – or as Joseph Campbell would simply state: how to “follow your bliss". Based on what Joseph Campbell calls “The hero’s Journey”, the film includes interviews with Deepak Chopra, Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac), Laird Hamilton (legendary big wave surfer), Tony Hawk (Pro Skateboarder) and Sir Ken Robinson (Education and Creativity leader), Rashida Jones, Catherine Hardwicke, Robert Walter, Akiva Goldsman, Sir Ken Robinson, Robin Sharma, Lynne Kaufman, Alan Cohen, Brian Johnson, Joseph Marshall III, Rebecca Armstrong, Chungliang Al Huang, David L. Miller, Gay Hendricks, David Loy and Norman Ollestad. Come along and find the inspiration to leave your fears behind and BE the hero of your own life.

Excellent film. I'm familiar with Joe Campbell but it was lovely to see how beautifully his words were portrayed by the children, with movie clips of different (but the same) Heroe's Journeys & interviews with different people.

  • Ruth B.

Hi there! I'm on the waiting list for Finding Joe but it's a long one.
Just wondering if there is a possibility of showing this film again (at Darlinghurst) as there seems to be quite a few people interested?
This film looks awesome, I'm so keen to catch it :)

    June 23, 2013

    • Kym

Hi Ruth, I'm not sure if we will be able to do any more screenings apart from the two that we have planned. Please consider going to the Cronulla event on Friday night if you are really keen, or check back on the day for the Thursday one, often we get 10-15 people cancel on the day, so a spot might open up. :-)

      June 23, 2013

    • Ruth B.

Hey Kym, Unfortunately I'm busy Fri, seeing another doco, so can't make the Cronulla session. Thanks for letting me know though.
