The just-released TriCaster 40 HD/SD is a live presentation system for live video-switching, recording and streaming. A NewTek rep will be on hand to walk us through the capabilities of this device. It's basically a TV station in a box, using cameras as well as computer inputs and offering virtual sets, titles and graphics and video clip playback and recording.

If you have clients who want to stream on the Web or produce broad-cast quality productions on a modest budget, this gadget is worth investigating.

Harold Haynie, who uses an earlier model TriCaster for his Greensboro Fire Department productions, will host.

As always, these meetups are open to anyone interested in audio and video production, equipment and techniques. Come and bring a friend.

Best of all, it's free.
