Would you like to join a wellness group that isn't out to sell you something? The secret to wellness is not in some exotic product, but really built on 3 core principles.
1. Reasonable exercise and diet
2. Planning
3. Friendships with those who share your goals
For 10 years I've worked on a fitness web site designed to help you set and reach goals in regards to your wellness. I believe in one primary goal, feeling better. Losing weight is just a byproduct of reaching that goal. I have just completed a web site for the Centers for Disease Control that helps you easily set goals that fit your needs. By setting exercise and diet goals, meeting and tracking your days for just a couple minutes each night, you can start seeing results.
For the first few meetups I'm looking for two groups of 6 people who will meet one or two times each month probably at Rosedale shopping center on Monday nights. We'll go for a walk and then talk about the program, help you set some goals, talk about using the web site, and just have a good time.
**IMPORTANT NOTE** Note I just added a second meetup for Monday, Oct 26th. If the first meetups are full please still join. We will put this in full gear by early 2010 and I'm even open to starting a third group of 6 if we get a good response. BUT PLEASE STILL JOIN! Ultimately we'll open it up, have more meetups and meet in different locations.
**There is no cost with this pilot group**
Starting a meetup program will be a 'work in progress' and I don't expect to expand this until we have worked out a few kinks. If you can be a little patient with me as I put this all together, I'd love to have you join the group. The plan will be to open this up larger some time early in 2010.
Thanks!
Dean
