"Don't worry about the lack of knowledge, the point of this meetup was to share what we all know about Flash :-) So there is never a dumb question :-D Anyways, just so you know what exactly "Flex" is and does......"

"Think google maps or mapquest - large/vast amounts of raster/vector/table data in mysql/oracle/sql server databases on the backend. FLEX is what some(smaller companies) are using to upload their own proprietary data in map format...."

"I did a quick google of "web mapping" and I am still not entirely sure I get what it is... I suppose it has something to do with maps and visualizing that sort of data? Apologies if I am wrong, could you perhaps explain what exactly it is?..."
