Flask Workshop with PyLadies

NYC PyLadies (@nycpyladies) has organized a Flask Workshop event and they've invited members of Flask-NYC (@flasknyc) to attend.

Who should attend?

This workshop is attended for anyone curious about, new to, or just getting started with Flask.

The Details

Sean Murphy is a Senior Scientist at Johns Hopkins University, a data scientist that consults and advises several startups, and a co-founder of Data Community DC (http://datacommunitydc.org/blog/, a large group of data practitioners around the nation's capital). He uses Python for way too many tasks and has built just enough Django and Flask apps to be dangerous.

This class will be a introduction to Flask, and will help you get a better understanding of a simple but very useful web framework and get a page up and running in the workshop.

Have Flask downloaded and installed BEFORE you arrive:
http://flask.pocoo.org/docs/installation/

If you have any troubles with installation, there will be Pythonistas to help you from 6.30-7 PM.

Awesome Meetup. And whoever was observing me using cat > app/whatever.py, it turns out I should have used ctrl-d to stop inputting new lines into my short files on the bash command line, not ctrl-c, however effective it was... :)
