Hi all, well... I finally found a new home. Yeah !! Sooo that means...
I will be happy to continue to host the meetups, but I was wondering if some one else would like to help out and become an assistant organizer too. It's easy and fun, a great way to meet new people and you do it on your own schedule. Simply post a meetup, pick the date and the place, show up on time, meet and greet the members, mix and mingle and have fun. It is generally only 1x per month but you are welcome to host as often as you like. I am looking for others who are friendly, outgoing and can commit to showing up on time. So far, there hasn't been any money to be made, actually, it might cost you a little, I do buy the name tags and (disappearing) pens myself, but perhaps you can fill up the tip jar. As a bonus sometimes peeps even buy you a beer or two, which is about the same price as the supplies (thanks to those who have, smiles T) I've often thought it would be possible to find sponsors... either the bars or via advertising, if you are creative give it a try. The flatmate meetup generally has 20-40 peeps in attendance per gathering. If interested in being an assistant organizer let me know, and come to the next meetup. Thanks Trish I'M LOOKING FOR IDEAS FOR THE NEXT FLATMATE MEETUP... pls send me your suggestions or comments. I'm probably going to have it on Dec 10th, I am considering The Coffee Bar on Bryant and Mariposa in the Mission. Some of you have requested that space. Posting to come soon. and lastly... I posted a couple of places for rent... see the message board... the place I am moving out in Noe Valley will be available on a temp basis from Dec 1 thru aprx March 1st (females only in the noe home, sorry guys) and I have a friend whom is looking for a room mate, prefers an Artist/Musician type, it's a large space in the Mission, a must see. Although, very different, both places are terrific. Good luck, thanks for reading my too long post.. smiles Trish |
