Flatmate Meetup is a great way to meet others whom are either looking to rent a space, have a room to rent, want to meet others to find a place with... or perhaps just looking to make new friends.

Flatmate meetup is a lot more fun then sitting at your computer weeding thru Craigslist adds and hoping for replies. So get out of the house, come on down to the Mad Dog in the Fog on Wed Oct 7th between 6:30-8:30pm and possibly meet your new house mate... or at least make the attempt and have some fun.

To help to even out the ratios... when replying to those Craigslist adds or others mention the meetup and ask them to meet you there. We generally meet once per month in a safe environment (at a cool bar.) Flatmate meetup is FREE... but we happily except donations no matter how large or small. Thanks for those in advance.

Hi there! Are you looking to move (NEEDER)? Do you have a place to rent (HAVER)? Do you need to do this before the end of the month?!?!?

Come check out the FLATMATE MEETUP on Monday, August 24th 5PM to 7PM. Perhaps you will meet your potential new housemate or at least make some new friends.

We will meet at the Cupertino Merlion bar on Stevens Creek. It's a cool sleek bar with an excellent Happy Hour. $3 drafts, $3 bottled beers, $3 well drinks, $5 margaritas and $6 martinis. $5 appetizers include Singaporean-style curry, samosa, roti prata, wrap and roll tortilla, satay, garlic fries, calamari, and buffalo wings.

It's easy to find. It's on Stevens Creek across the street from Cupertino Square in the Marketplace outdoor mall. In front, there's a giant lion head fountain with water spouting from its mouth. Park anywhere. We'll be just inside in the lounge or at the bar.

The Flatmate Meetup is a great way to meet others in a relaxed setting with no pressure. Adding a little alcoholic truth serum can't hurt!

The Flatmate Meetup is FREE, but donations are greatly appreciated. donations cover the cost of the identifying you as a NEEDER or HAVER. Also feel free to buy your friendly host a drink. :)

Flatmate Meetup is FREE and FUN. So even if you don't meet the perfect housemate... at least you came out and had some fun.. mixed up the daily grind on trying to find that roomie.

RECCOMMENDATION: when setting up your profile, if nothing else, pls at least note if you are a HAVER (you have a room/place for rent) or a NEEDER (you need a place or room to rent). Also, list how much the rent is or what you can afford. This will help your search in finding the perfect match. If you have a CL post, you can enter the link to. Also... read those message boards.

A few peeps requested a 2nd meet up this month... so we are going back to the Mad Dog... If the majority thinks that doing this "speed dating style" would work, we may try and arrange it that way. Just a thought.

Hi home seekers and room renters... I hope to see some of you at the Noe Valley Tavern on Wed May 13 from aprx 6:30 to to 8:30pm.

I know of two homes for rent in the area, one with in walking distance.

There is a great place in the heart of Noe on Sanchez at 25th that has a temporary room for rent that is very likely to become a long term situation... it is very negotiable.. meaning.. a choice of 2 diff rooms depending on what you can afford. I can take those whom are interested over to see the place after the meet up...

My friend Alex has a room for rent that is very close by as well. He mentioned that he would like to take those whom are interested over to see it also. Or he may host a meet up in the near future.

Spread the word... when applying to adds mention the FlatMate Meetup, perhaps have others meet you there.

Hi all, let's try somewhere new. I hear the food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff is pleasant. They have a great happy hour and some extra food and drink specials too. Come early for happy hour from 5-7pm. I believe they will offer $1 off well drinks and drafts until 8pm if you mention you are there for the flatmate meetup.

Medici's Lounge 299 9th Street at Folsom... it is the old shadow lounge near climate theater (anon salon)
