Update: Please post your photos from our walk and meetup tomorrow to this group, so that we all have one combined place to enjoy them:
Earlier this the Flickr Blog wrote about a very special Flickr meetup (http://blog.flickr.net/en/2012/07/30/the-midwest-a-gather...) that happened in Indiana. Unlike other meetups the Midwest Flickr Gathering 2012 took place during the span of several days with Flickr members traveling from all parts of the country. This week, the organizers Ethan Eugene Coverstone and David Talley have pulled off another meetup in and around Los Angeles - this time with an even larger group of people from all over the world.
We'd like to invite you to join this group for a day long, epic photo walk through the water falls and forests in Pasadena, CA.
If you like to come, please RSPV here. We'll be meeting on December 30th, fairly early in the morning at 9 AM at the Chantry Flats Parking Lot and Trailhead.
You can see the meeting location on a map here:
We'll be taking a small hike from the parking lot/trailhead to Sturtevant falls, stopping along the way to the waterfall to take photos if we decide to. The forecast has a 30% chance of rain that day, but I don't think it will be a problem. We'll also have plenty of cloud cover, so it will be great weather to shoot in. Once we finish shooting at the falls and forests in that area, we can meet back up at the trail head and potentially go and shoot more directly in Pasadena. It's going to be a great opportunity to meet new Flickr friends, chat to folks that work at Flickr and spend a great day out and taking photos - with whatever camera you like.
