Hi Shawn,

I'm a noob in arial RC but am an ex RC racer.  I currently work on Arduino based embedded systems and Android.   So I'm just looking to get my foot in the door and see if this is something that I can get involved with.   It would be great to do some mountain biking or back country adventure films.

I have designed a couple Go Pro mounts for bikes and have a gyro stabilized mount in development.  I do my prototyping and manufacturing on a Makerbot 3D printer and can make this available.

Hi All,

My name is Shawn and I've stepped in as organizer to gauge the interest of keeping this MeetUp group going. Firstly, thanks to TJ for founding this group.  Since TJ stepped down and MeetUp was going to disband, I thought it a shame to let the group dissolve, thus this email.

A bit about me: I live in Denver quit my day job and threw myself into this full time about a year ago.  I spent the last 15 years building Internet startups and  I firmly believe RC heli/UAS/drone/multirotors/whatever is one of the biggest tech advancements and business opportunities to come down the track in some time.  I'm also into the adventure film world and hope some day soon to film expeditions.

Anyhow, whether you're a casual observer, hobbiest, photo/videographer,  noob or pro, I'd like to hear from you and if you're interested to fire up this network.

Along with an eventual meet up/fly in, I'd like to meet other CO pilots and talk about: tri/quad/hex/octo/X-rig platforms, cameras, gimbals, flight controllers, radios, recent FAA announcements and regs, CO govt and drone lobby, tech advice and repair options, best retailers, FPV, and general networking.

So, chime in and tell us who you are, what you're looking for and if you'd like to have a meetup in the next month or so.  I've left the "reply" settings to copy all 53 members so we can share thoughts and get the ball rolling!

Thanks and fly safely!
