I've updated this Meetup, specifically to change the place and time of the meeting. We usually meet at Flyleaf but because of a conflict we will meet at the Chapel Hill Public Library in the small meeting room to the right of the entrance. Please note that we will begin earlier -- at 6:30 because the library closes at 8 and we must leave promptly at that time.
Of interest to you may be that a film entitled "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" based on the book we are reading is now playing at the Chelsea Theater in Chapel Hill.
For more details, see the full listing:
I'm looking forward to the discussion -- we can compare to our own civil rights movement, to the Palestine/Israel controversy, and to other increasingly common situations of lack of rights for one or more groups in a country. We can also look at the impact of leadership personalities on outcomes. The book seems timely.
When: Monday, March 24,[masked]:30 PM
Where: Chapel Hill Public Library , , NC
100 Library Dr.
Chapel Hill, NC
Price: $1.00 per person
RSVP limit: 20 "Yes" RSVPs
If the changes affect your plans to attend, please take a moment to update your RSVP. (You can RSVP "No" or "Yes".)
You can always get in touch with me through my group profile on Meetup.
