"I learned more in 3 hours in the Basics class than in a whole day at another far more expensive class." - John W.
“This session filled in some big holes in my knowledge and awareness of LR's capabilities."  James D.

This is not a Lightroom 101 class.  The tools we teach are presented in a way that relates to everyone at every level of understanding.  Regardless of your current advancement in LR, you will come away with new and useful knowledge. The team of Mark Alison Photography has pushed over 100 weddings and hundreds of other sessions through Lightroom since Version 2. That kind of real-world experience brought to this class is unlikely to be offered by any available online instruction or in-person training.

Throughout the photographic industries there are a few programs that have become the standard. One of the newer programs in perspective taking a leading role with photographers is the stand-alone wonder, Photoshop Lightroom. The main cause of this is the ease of workflow from initial import to end export! Lightroom is a powerful program; however, it can be a confusing program to use.  It is also the only software developed by Adobe by photographers, for photographers.

With Lightroom you no longer have to create complicating actions or write down settings to make batch edits! With its non-destructive editing abilities and potential speed you can use Lightroom to its fullest as a way to make the most of your time creating a more enjoyable and efficient editing experience.

In Part 1 we will be encompassing many of the capabilities and uses of Lightroom to be the forefront of your editing workflow. We will be showing how many of the tasks that you depend on Photoshop for can be done within Lightroom to make for faster and smoother finishing of final images. How to easily and quickly make batch edits and exports of your photos will be shown and discussed as well as many other great tips and tricks that this great program can be used for.

In Part 2, the advanced features of Lightroom will be unveiled.  From removing backgrounds to creating a completely different look for an image, you will be impressed at how powerful the tools can truly be.

Whether you are already using the program or are thinking of purchasing it for the first time, this workshop is sure to give you the information you need to get you ready to make Lightroom your flagship editing program.

We hope to see you there!

Since I've switched to Lightroom, I have been getting lots and lots of compliments about how much they love my work. I was VERY anxious about how a different "look" of my images would affect my brand, etc., but apparently it was a positive change. Thanks, Mark, for being a willing teacher!!
Being a former teacher, I tend to be overly critical about things like procedures, etc. I would have loved more time on advanced, and less on basics, but I think all 9 of us were at very different comfort levels. That said, workshop was good, overall.

This class was extremely helpful in learning Lightroom. The small class size, and instructor interaction made it easy to ask questions and learn. Thank you Mark and Mason for sharing your knowledge, and for your patience with us :)
