This time we'll be meeting at a great hometown style mom and pop burger joint, with at least one vegetarian burger on the menu, for those so inclined. Everything they make is fresh and done with pride. Also, they're a BYOB type establishment, so bring whatever you favor as far as alcohol goes. They were recently voted the 2nd best burger in Dallas by A List Dallas!
After dinner, we're planning on heading over to the Rowlett City Council meeting at 7:30, just a few blocks away. Randy from Metroplex Atheists has organized us (Rowlett residents) to voice our opinions about the always Christian prayers that have been going on for years, even though there have been many letters written asking for equal time or a moment of silence in it's place. Please come show your support for those involved. Anyone planning to speak at the meeting might wanna refrain from alcohol beforehand. ;)

Those in the East community are encouraged to come meetup for dinner. Those outside the areas are also welcome but there are multiple foodies events so check for your one in your area too (sometimes they will be on the same date/time).
My name is Sanam Mobin, I am a 3rd year Psychology student at The University of Texas. I am conducting a study on the correlation between food and and social media. I need 30 individuals to participate in a 15-30 minutes survey for my research.
I feel like that this group is a good outlet for finding people that love food and enjoy using todays online resource to explore new restaurants and food types. If you love food and feel that your food choices are greatly impacted by social media ( Facebook status/ twitter update, online articles...etc) Please shoot me an email ([masked]). I would love to interview you!
I can compensate $20 for 30 minutes of interview time.
Thank You!
