2013 Alan Ross Freedom Parade w/DFWCoR Crosslist

Okay kids it's time to get fabulous again!

The 2013 Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade is happening soon. The DFW Coalition of Reason, the Metroplex Atheists, the Fellowship of Freethought and a whole mess of other non-religious organizations want YOU to participate!

For detailed event information along with maps and other things you can print out and take with you, have a look at our event website: http://tpcserver.com/pride2013-dallas/

The theme this year is "Deep in the Heart of Pride", so dig out your boots and cowboy hats! The parade will start at 2:00 PM on September 15th of 2013. Here's a list of things you will need to know:

-If needed, Park at the Market Center DART Station. Buy a transit ticket and leave the receipt on your dashboard.
-Bring water, sunscreen, and your own food. We might have a little bit of water, but we will not be providing lunch or dinner.
-Walk to the staging area at the intersection of Cedar Springs and Douglas Avenue.
-Don't talk to protestors, do not throw things, do not swear or make obscene gestures, and do not take your clothes off.
-Meet the pick-up group at Robert E Lee Park for a ride back to the DART station.
-If you have any other questions or need the phone number for our fearless leader, please email at Kyle at [masked]

Let's get fabulous, people!

Note for everyone that comes from the Monthly Gathering:

Head over to DART's Forest Lane Station.

Buy a day pass for $5.00 and then (if needed) place the receipt on your dashboard.

You last Orange Line Beltline direction train to meet up with the shuttle vehicles at Market Center Station will leave Forest Lane Station at 12:36pm (we will update if DART changes the last train's time in the comments)

I am going, but I think I will go with a lesbian group that is setting up closer to Lee park. That way I am near there when the parade is over and can join the festivities without having to walk too far. The staging area is too far from Lee park where festivities continue after the parade.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
