Join us for this family friendly outing on a church free Sunday. We'll be heading to Klyde Warren park, which is literally built over Woodall Rodgers freeway, just north of downtown Dallas. If you've yet to experience this park/playground/library/venue/ that is also dog friendly, then you're in for a treat. They have a large open area for sports, water spouts for kiddies and dogs to play in, a playground for more kid play, a fenced in dog park, and more. This'll be especially fun for the freethinking kiddos and teens among us, so bring'em all!
There will be food trucks present from 11am to 3pm. Trucks scheduled for the day are:
Nammi ~ Vietnamese
Crazy Fish ~ Sushi
Gandolfo's ~ N.Y. Deli
Ruthie's ~ Grilled Cheese
Cool Haus ~ Ice Cream
Trailer Cakes ~ Cupcakes
The Butcher's Son ~ Meaty Sandwiches
and the parks own food truck, Relish ~ Burgers & Hot Dogs
Once we've had our fill of great grub from the trucks, we'll throw the Frisbee/football, play with the dogs, gallop through the park, and whatever else the cooler temps compel us too. If you have a favorite outdoor activity in mind, do bring the accessories involved and we'll give it a shot. The high should be in the 80's, if the forecast holds, so there'll be relief from the heat by then. Thank Poseidon!
I'm including a map of how to get from the St. Paul rail station from any of the Red, Green, Blue, or Orange line, so it's very convenient from anywhere in D/FW. The walk is less than half a mile directly down Harwood to the park.
So bring the kids, bring the dogs, let's get together and blaspheme in the park!
