Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up

Join us as we clean up around the shoreline of White Rock Lake Park. We will be participating in this activity every month, so mark your calendar!! This is a family-friendly activity! So bring the kids!

All of the spruce-up supplies are provided, including trash bags, recycling bags, and latex gloves. Please remember to wear rubber boots or shoes that you don't mind getting wet or dirty. Feel free to bring any other items such as a rake to gather trash.

A “continental breakfast” is provided featuring Starbucks hot coffee, milk, water, and pastries.  This is an excellent community service project. Participate in two consecutive Spruce-Ups, and receive a Second Saturday T-Shirt.

We will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the For The Love of The Lake office in Casa Linda Plaza and then drive to our very own section that we will clean. Here is a map to our location from the FTLoTL office: map

According to the weather that I checked this morning, there is only a 20 percent chance of rain until noon and then it goes up to 30 percent. Hope to see you all soon.

I want to start doing this again...does love of the lake allow babies to be with us during cleanups?

Whitney, I just spoke to someone who runs the cleanup and it is a family friendly event. They delegate liability of the child to the parents. So as long as you're okay with it there okay with it.

We are planning to rent a kayak or two and paddle around the lake. We'd love to have you join us.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
