Social Science @ the Perot Museum

Exclusive after-hours engagements for adults (must be 21 or older). Think entertaining mini science conference with adult beverages. :)

The topic for this event is "Extreme".

A note from the Perot:

"Check out our special exhibit, World’s Largest Dinosaurs, and uncover scientific extremes in scale and beyond. From nano technology to big data, to explorations and expeditions. Test your skills in our endurance challenges, meet amazing explorers, and find out more about our dino giants featured in traveling exhibit.

A perfect date night or fun evening with friends. Discover the Perot Museum after hours, for a unique evening filled with innovative experiments, current research, signature cocktails, dynamic performances, engaging discussions, unique inventions, and more."

Social Science programs feature:
- Dynamic performances
- Sneak peeks of current research and inventions with guest scientists
- Unique demonstrations
- Exclusive talks and discussions with experts
- Hands-on experiments and creations
- Bars, signature cocktails, and cool brews

Get your tickets before they sell out! So far, every Social Science has sold out before the day of the event. <-- Don't say I didn't warn you.

Members $13
Non-Members $18

The Perot also offers a combo ticket with the World's Largest Dinosaurs exhibit. My recommendation would be to see that exhibit at a different time than when Social Science is occurring as there will be plenty of activities during Social Science to keep you busy. But if you don't think you'll make a second trip, then by all means see the exhibit while you're there. In that case I would recommend the 10pm time as Social Science will be winding down then.

Last time drink prices were: $3 for a soda, $6 for beer or wine, $9 for a cocktail. They sell drink tickets at the event so bring some cash.

Also, people that want to meet up early usually go to El Fenix across the street for food and drink. The cafe will also be open in the museum if you want to eat there.

See website for ticket purchase and info.

Wow! I had a great, smart time. I brought two of my European students who had just arrived in America/Dallas. Thank gaad they got to see something worthwhile before the Ted Cruz Crew swings into GOP Primary mode and the Worst of Dallas is everywhere!

Are you guys going to be at the bar at El Fenix? Or will you be grabbing a table?

Social Science is this Friday! Grab your tickets for this educational pub night. I should also have some stickers for us so that it will be easier to identify who is with our group. The best place to catch everyone in the museum is in the main lobby near the main bar at the beginning of the night (7-7:30). For those who want to meet up beforehand, a few of us will be at El Fenix across the street starting at around 5:30pm.
