Social Science for Adults @ the Perot Museum – Identity

Exclusive after-hours engagements for adults (must be 21 or older). Think entertaining mini science conference with adult beverages.

The topic for this event is "Identity".

A note from the Perot: "Explore your ego and your alter ego during an evening exploring the science of superheroes, genetics, psyche, and DNA. Participate in a social experiment, learn more about your genes, and dress as your favorite alter ego for a fashion challenge.

A perfect date night or fun evening with friends. Discover the Perot Museum after hours, for a unique evening filled with innovative experiments, current research, signature cocktails, dynamic performances, engaging discussions, unique inventions, and more."

Social Science programs feature: - Dynamic performances - Sneak peeks of current research and inventions with guest scientists - Unique demonstrations - Exclusive talks and discussions with experts - Hands-on experiments and creations - Bars, signature cocktails, and cool brews

Get your tickets before they sell out! <-- Don't say I didn't warn you.
Pricing: Members $13 Non-Members $18

The Perot also offers a combo ticket with the World's Largest Dinosaurs exhibit. My recommendation would be to see that exhibit at a different time than when Social Science is occurring as there will be plenty of activities during Social Science to keep you busy. But if you don't think you'll make a second trip, then by all means see the exhibit while you're there. In that case I would recommend the 10pm time as Social Science will be winding down then.

Last time drink prices were: $3 for a soda, $6 for beer or wine, $9 for a cocktail. They sell drink tickets at the event so bring some cash.

Also, people that want to meet up early usually go to El Fenix across the street for food and drink. The cafe will also be open in the museum if you want to eat there.

So... my second time participating with this group, and all completely new faces. But still had a great time and met some sincere and interesting people! Thanks Tim for hosting!

Some of us are starting out in the Hogland theater for the talks. We are in the back. Look for the FoF stickers.

You know you're from a smaller city (and or you have cognitive impairments) when you don't bring cash for parking.

    Anyone still at El Fenix?

Yes, there's a table of us at the bar.

If you're heading to El Fenix, I'm here at the bar. We'll grab a table if we get enough people.

A handful of us usually start out at El Fenix across the street as soon as we can get there. I'll probably get there around 5:30.

Hi I'm new to the group, just been to last week's newbie night. I plan on showing up at El Fenix so keep an eye out for me! Looking forward to it!

Social Science is almost here! Best time to catch everyone is from 7 to 7:30 in the lobby of the museum before things get rolling. If you miss us, post a message here and I will find you. I'll be at El Fenix across the street beforehand and I'll catch the rest of you at the Perot!

Are these tickets sold out? We might have a friend in from Houston that night and he might like to come.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
