Please mark your calendars for August 23rd at 7:00 PM for Cocktails for a Cause benefiting the North Texas Food Bank.  Hosted by Don DeNatale and his wife Susan at their residence in Frisco.

The NTFB provides healthy meals to needy families throughout the Dallas area and North Texas on a regular basis. Normally, every $1 donated to the NTFB provides 3 meals. But right now there is an amazing opportunity to amplify their efforts. Until the end of August, the NTFB has a Challenge Match in place that will match any donations dollar for dollar up to $1.15 million. See the link below for more details. To encourage donations at this time, FoF has setup its own modest matching fund. The first $1000 donated through FoF for the NTFB in August will be matched by us before we send it on, thus quadrupling its effect.  So by donating right now, $1 will not provide just 3 meals, or even 6 meals, but 12 meals for those who need it most!

There is free parking on the street. Sparks Elementary School is within walking distance with plenty of parking. Please drink and drive responsibly.

Beer and wine and a featured cocktail will be provided, as well as various appetizers and snacks to munch on.

$15.00 entry fee.  Bring extra cash for the raffle!

If weather permits, Don will setup his telescope and provide stargazing sessions for all that are interested.  See Saturn!

Please participate!  This is a opportunity to really make your giving go a long way. Plus, it's going to be a great party on a August night!!

    "Please drink and drive responsibly."

    ... Seems like poor phrasing.

Ok weird question what do you guys wear to these? Same things as some of the other FoF night events?

    • Melanie C.

Pretty much. We don't care what you wear, but we prefer you wear something. :)

I am so glad and consider myself fortunate to have found this group. I am so out there with my thinking that this seems just right for me and I should fit in rather snugly. Of course not too tight for I do want to breathe freely while I think my free thoughts. Way out of the Box, considered by many I talk with. Would love to join in this meeting tomorrow, but don't have a ride there at this time. I shall try to remedy this to make that meeting or if someone lives near Greenville and Lovers Lane contact me at[masked] to carpool.

Anne, it's a pretty good group, so I'd recommend giving it a try. Thanks.

Definitely considering it. Might be just the thing on the Saturday before the kids start back to school(from a teacher's standpoint!)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
