The Fellowship of Freethought, as part of its mission to promote a family-friendly organization that emphasizes education, socialization, and charity, will be encouraging its members to gather together once a month to learn from each other, share in each others' lives, and coordinate outreach to the community. These "Gatherings" will combine music, short presentations, and special announcements all running alongside a fun yet educational youth program. Following presentations and youth activities is a potluck meal to encourage close fellowship among all members.
Monthly Theme: Atheists in Foxholes. We'll be joined by Justin Griffith who is a sergeant in the US Army and Military Driector of American Atheists, and has been instrumental in planning the controversial Rock Beyond Belief concert at Fort Bragg.
Potluck Tips
Let's make this potluck great for everyone by following some time–tested tips…
If you are able to plan your pot luck dish in advance, or at least know the type of dish you can commit to bringing, please indicate main, side, vegetarian, diabetic, etc in your RSVP comments.
If you have your own suggestions on how to make the potluck better, please let Whitney know.
Applications for Voting Membership will be collected at the Gatherings.
This is among the best groups I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. This was a blast!

There was time for conversation with current friends and introductions to new ones. Justin Griffith was certainly worth listening to; kudos to the one(s) who found him and managed to get him in for the presentation. I look forward to next month's gathering, and continuing to make new acquaintances and deeper friendships.

This was a super meetup! I really, really enjoyed the talk by Justin Griffith! I hope he can drop by as often as possible! Also, I'm for getting a group together to do the Rock Beyond Belief thing at Fort Bragg!

It is moving for sure; a church is meeting at lake highlands during our previous time slot. We are waiting on confirmation of the new location but expect to have Samual Grand Rec Center for at least the next 3 months.
