2nd Annual "Cocktails for a Cause" benefitting The Lonestar Ride

Please mark your calendars for Saturday, August 25th from 7:00 PM to midnight for the 2nd Annual "Cocktails for a Cause" benefitting The Lone Star Ride to raise money for AIDS Services of Dallas, which takes place in September. Stephen and Jeff will be hosting this fundraising party at our new apartment in Dallas.
There is a new policy at our apartment complex. No visitors may be parked on the lot after 10:00 PM. They have started to enforce this policy last night. Several cars were towed away much to the car owners' surprise this morning! Do not park on the apartment complex parking lot! There is ample free parking on both sides of the street on Centennial just north of us. Centennial goes from 75 to Montfort, west to east. There is ample parking at Temple of Faith Christian Chapel just south of us on the northbound side of Noel. We have permission from Jimmy Huntly to park in the front visitor parking as you drive onto the church premises from northbound Noel for our fundraiser party for AIDS Services of Dallas. So, yes, you're going to have to walk to get to our place! It's about a 7-minute walk. If you have things to carry, then text us, and we'll come pick you up. Please drink and drive responsibly. If you need to stay the night due to over-imbibing, that's okay, but we only have floor space.

Look for Stephen's red scooter in a parking space near the apartment door. The door will have a green palm tree decoration on it.
Our theme is . . . the tropics! The featured drinks will be citrusy Tropical Nicolas, sweet Mai Tais, and hearty Red Jamaican Beer for you beer drinkers. Fruit, vegetable, and meat 'n cheese appetizers will be provided. If you want chips, dips, soda, and candy, then please bring 'em! We will have a prize for the evening's favorite Hawaiian shirt and also for the best limbo dance! We will be winding down the evening with a showing of "South Pacific" in the living room, or you can keep socializing in the den and kitchen area. There is a $15.00 cash entry fee. Bring extra cash for the raffle! (That's how we really raise the money!) This year, we are featuring two paintings by professional artist and freethinker, Cheryl Long.
Please participate! This is a great cause, and the HIV/AIDS community needs to know that the Freethought community cares! Plus, it's going to be a great party on a hot August night!
