If you enjoy getting together with your fellow freethinkers but are interested in something more interactive to pass the time, come join us at Madness Games & Comics in Plano for some board games with friends!

Madness has over 200 seats, and they allow for outside food and beverages.

Bring your favorite board or card games, and join us for some friendly competition.

Children of all ages are welcome, and it's recommended that you bring some age appropriate games for them as well. (Note: games are not restricted. We often have at least one group playing games like Cards Against Humanity)

We will bring some good games to get everyone started. We'll see you there!

Welcome to Newbie Night! We know it can be hard for new people to join up with an established group, so we've organized this event especially for anyone who hasn't yet been to any (or many) events with us at the Fellowship of Freethought. It's sometimes super-hard to get comfortable with the idea of meeting new people, so we hope this type of event can help ease the jitters and make you feel welcome!

Come out to La Madeleine in Plano and relax with your fellow newbies. Seasoned veterans are welcome too, since we'll need some to be on hand to answer any questions and provide some history about the Fellowship of Freethought.

Join your fellow female freethinkers to discuss whatever topic crosses our minds! This meeting is inclusionary and confidential. Please respect these guidelines. This is a safe space for those who identify as women as well as non-binary people. We rotate restaurants, and if you have a suggestion please message one of the hosts. We are open to suggestions and look forward to seeing everyone.

Q: "Why women only?" or "Why are you trying to exclude men?"

A: The Fellowship of Freethought Dallas is welcoming to all, but we recognize that safe spaces are needed for some groups, including those that wish to discuss issues unique to women. Safe spaces are not the same as inclusion. We appreciate that you kindly respect these boundaries.

Q: Does the Fellowship of Freethought Dallas have other events besides this one?

A: Yes! We have other social and community outreach activities for all of our members including families. See the calendar on the meetup page for all events. We look forward to seeing you there!

Q: I don't identify as a woman. Why do I get these e-mails?

A: Some events are intended for a sub-set of the larger group. With the way that meetup handles "announcement" notifications for a group, though, members of the group at-large get e-mail about the specific meetups targeted at the sub-set. It really doesn't make sense to force that sub-group to start an entirely new top-level Meetup Group just for a sub-set of the larger group, particularly since that's part of why the sub-group is meeting in the first place. There's already enough marginalization and alienation that certain sub-groups already have in our community. When you get e-mail about those events, consider it not in your interest area and just use the delete key to pass it by while knowing you're part of the larger community doing what's needed to help all feel welcome."

Q: I still feel uncomfortable about a group dedicated to a subset. Can I ask more about this?

A: Of course, we are reasonable people who love reasonable discussions! If you behave in a troll-like manner, however, you will be reported to the administrators of this group.
