Hello. I self identify as an agnostic secular humanist. My hope is that I can leave the world with a few acts of kindness without screwing up too much.
Oh, so many! Authors include Sagan, Goodall, Sacks, Dennett, Diamond, Pinker, Bryson, and Roach. I also love history--especially biographies. I also indulge in childrens' books like A Wrinkle in Time, Calvin & Hobbs, Animalia, and on and on...
I love fruits, vegtables, nuts, bread (oh yes), and most sweets. Chocolate--yum. Key lime pie! I have migrated away from mammalian meats but still eat Avies and Osteichthyes (bony fish). I love going to restaurants--just not by myself.
I was an active stay-at-home dad with my two children for several years. We had a lot of fun and learned alot too. At this point, I am single after a very long marriage with an empty nest.
Doing astronomy activities both for myself and for the public. I love to hear someone exclaim "wow" or "oh my god" the first time they see Saturn with their own eyes! I also dabble in drawing and music--playing the tin-whistle (not terribly well) and have started a relationship with a 103 year old piano.
A couple of people mentioned it to me over the last couple of months.
Thanks to all that have worked to make this an accepting meeting place for nonbelievers and those like me who wish to focus on making this life the best it can be for all.

Hey, Daniel! nice to see you again the other day.
Hi. How do you know Janie..Mom of Oz? She is in my church ward.
Hi Daniel, I noticed you weren't able to go to the last hike. Email Sherry Kennedy and ask her if you can use your paid admission from Sept 25 to rsvp the next one coming up. I did the same thing. I went to it to meet the other hikers but I could not hike do to a foot injury. [masked]
Thanks Daniel,
I am hoping to find the time to expand my social world. Not much luck so far.
I hope school is going well for you.
Donna
Hey Daniel
Good to talk to you about astronomy and my new telescope. Lets get together sometime, if you don't mind, and do some star hopping and finding stuff. The COmputer control on telescope only does so much and I want to be able to star hope and find some other nebulas and galaxies. Have a great Sunday.
later, Richard
