Get together with fellow folk fans and help us raise the roof twice a month! IF YOU KNOW FOLK MUSIC, SING IT LOUD AND PROUD AND/OR PLAY AN INSTRUMENT, WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!!!

We take turns selecting a song for the group to sing and play (passing's OK). Most of our songs come from the Rise Up Singing book, so if you have a copy, bring it along.  (If you don't, you can borrow or buy one from us.) You also have the option of going solo or handing out lyrics to a song not in the book. Whatever you do, *ENTHUSIASTIC PARTICIPATION* IS THE KEY!

We meet the first and third Saturday of the month from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in a comfortable indoor location in Crystal City (Arlington), VA, close to metro. There are many parking garages in the area (the closest is at 23rd St & Crystal Dr), and they're free on weekends.

We sing all kinds of music from well-known traditional songs (and not so well-known songs members want to teach us), to songs by the big names in folk and folk/rock from the '50s to the '70s to today's folk musicians.  And what's a sing along without some Beatles, pop songs, rock songs, traditional British songs and Irish folk songs.  We really mix it up.
