Rise Up Singing has been part of my life as long as I can remember, and I love the idea of jamming out with other folk music enthusiasts!
Yes; throughout grade school I performed with my school's orchestra, and in high school for a while I was part of a Christian death metal band...I try not to talk about it...
Long ago I was trained on the cello and viola, but it's been several years since I've picked up either one. I've messed around on the acoustic guitar since I was 7 or 8, but I'm not great. (So I sing loudly to camouflage my sloppy chords!)
My dad. :)
Anything by Paul Simon, Almanac Singers, Fairport Convention, The Weavers, and a lot of songs by those wonderful unrecorded artists you happen across playing small venues.

you lived in a strawbale house, ohh my dream. i'd love to see your solar oven. i like preparing raw foods and just bought a dehydrator because i am disempowered with DIY building. but today i had a revelation about building my own furniture using recycled stuff around the house. we have a lot of wood that used to be shelves but we can't get them together like they're 'supposed' to be. just moved into bethesda with a huge yard and beginning to grow food, waiting for harvests.
Whats precycling?

Hey Jas, great to see you last night. Sorry about the 4Ps/4Cs mix-up - I should have caught that. Thanks for coming by anyway.
Jas, I was wondering if we could talk about chickens (in a hush hush sort of way. I am writing an article about how there are people who keep chickens in their backyards in urban and suburban settings, the tentative title is "Chicken Confidential.".
Not that I think you are one, just that you seem to know something about that topic, ;) Please email me at [masked] or call [masked].
Hi Jas please call me at [masked]. Since it is just the 2 of us I thought we might just talk on the phone. I don't need any more seeds (no room!) Call me. Ruth
Jas, so far it looks like just you and me (and your daughter! So let's talk tonight or Sat. morning and see what we want to do. I don't need any seeds but I have some to share. R
