Just a friendly personal reminder from your devoted organizer that all systems are go for tomorrow's Sing/Jam. So far, 13 people have RSVP'd Yes and 9 Maybe. We really appreciate it when you RSVP or update your Maybe, so if you know what you'll be up to tomorrow, please RSVP or change your Maybe. It would please me to see zero Maybe RSVPs by tomorrow morning!
We're also seeing an increased number of "no shows" after replying Yes. Let's nip that in the bud. Our record on Yes attendees has been stellar until recently. Your accurate RSVP is helpful to me in setting up the space.
So bring your big, loud, happy voices, your instruments, Rise Up Singing and something to quench your thirst, and we'll see you tomorrow at 2 pm. Please try to arrive on time if at all possible. (New copies of Rise Up Singing will be for sale for $19. Please remember our "borrow one time only" policy.)

Get together with fellow folk fans and help us raise the roof twice a month! IF YOU LIKE TO SING AND/OR PLAY AN INSTRUMENT, WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!!!
We take turns selecting songs for the group to sing and play (passing's OK). Most of our songs come from the Rise Up Singing book, so if you have a copy, bring it along. (If you don't, you can borrow or buy one from us.) You also have the option of going solo or handing out lyrics to a song not in the book. Whatever you do, *ENTHUSIASTIC PARTICIPATION* IS THE KEY!
We meet the first and third Saturday of the month from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in a comfortable indoor location in Arlington, VA, close to metro. There is plenty of parking available in the area.
We sing all kinds of music from well-known traditional songs (and not so well-known songs members want to teach us), to songs by the big names in folk and folk/rock from the '50s to the '70s, to songs by today's indie/folk musicians. And what's a sing along without some Beatles, pop songs, rock songs, traditional British songs and Irish folk songs. We really mix it up.
We're a friendly fun group! DON'T BE SHY ABOUT SINGING AND/OR JAMMING, COME CHECK US OUT!
