So what the heck is 'normal' anyway? When asked, people often say things like the woman on the right. But we all seem to have working definitions of normal, because we use the word to describe people to whom we think it does and doesn't apply. Most of us strive to be normal in some sense (obeying laws and major societal norms, etc.), but we also like to think of ourselves as individuals and sometimes "different drummers." So what does normal mean to you, and when do you want it or not want it to describe you?
Join us on Food for Thought's second anniversary at the Painted Burro for Latin American cuisine and scintillating discussion about what it means to be like everyone else (or not).
The Painted Burro is in Davis Square, Somerville, on Elm Street. They have a delicious menu of creative, not-so-normal entrees, and margaritas to die for. We'll be gathered at the large square table in the center, for good group interaction and discussion (word has it that the acoustics are much better in there for conversation since they remodeled recently).
Hope to see you there :)
