Who here has heard of Bite Bistro? I've been aware of them for a little while now, but I know very little. The restaurant is run by the same person who ran Vivo...in the same space. This time around, he's taking a more casual approach with a more casual feel and a lower price point.
The web site has all the information you would hope for, and their twitter account is responsive. Really, they have all the makings of a great local restaurant—small enough to have some personality and organized enough to keep their Internet presence well-tuned. In my mind, that all bodes well for a fun and tasty dining experience.

The menu. The menu is dynamic and eclectic with a general theme that screams gastropub. The example menu on their web site spans everything from beet salad to "sloppy lamb" and even on to pork belly. That menu leans in the carnivorous direction, but Bite seems to do a good job of keeping something at least interesting for those in search of veggies.
The BYOB policy. The restaurant is BYOB, but their corkage fee is fairly small ($1-2). I'll probably bring a growler or two to donate to the cause, but you're welcome to bring something interesting of your own (wine, beer, absinthe or whatever floats your boat).
