Don’t have a date? DON’T WORRY! Isn’t that partly what Meetup is about: Getting to do the things (that you couldn’t convince your friends to do) with people who actually want to do them?
TICKETS: Ticket packages available for couples and singles, as well as for those who want to do more (VIP packages) or do less (General Admission). Get them before they SELL OUT!
NOTE: Sometimes the Fandango ticket website has technical difficulties and relays that "no more tickets are available for that time slot," etc. If you get this message, keep trying, since it eventually will correct itself, or call the American Cinematheque at (323)[masked] to see if the event is really sold out.
***If you haven't bought your tickets yet, then do buy them now, since there is no guarantee there will be any left at the door on Saturday.
UPDATE: ONLY GENERAL ADMISSION TIX ARE LEFT!
AFTER-PARTY EVENT: (Depending on interest)
For those who want to KEEP THE 1920’s SPIRIT ALIVE (if we have any spirit left in us, that is), after the ball, we’ll meet at the fountain in The Egyptian Theatre courtyard and then head on to another vintage location – rich in Hollywood history – for a drink or even a Shirley Temple for those teetotalers and designated drivers at:
THE ROOSEVELT HOTEL: Home of the 1st Academy Awards; 2 blocks from The Egyptian Theatre; Lobby Bar and Library Bar open until 2:00 AM.)
[NOTE: If you choose to drink, then please do so responsibly: The Roosevelt Hotel always has a line of cabs outside waiting for hire or come with a designated driver.]
NOTE: The Egyptian Theatre does NOT validate Hollywood & Highland complex parking or any other lot, but, if you choose to buy a Masquerade Ball ticket that does NOT include the dinner buffet, you can eat at one of Hollywood & Highland’s restaurants and get validation that way.
***For those who purchase the couple ticket package (“Doug & Mary VIP Sweetheart Package”) OR the individual VIP ticket package (“Sid Grauman’s Special VIP”), FREE/PRE-PAID PARKING IS INCLUDED for the lot behind the Egyptian Theatre, but you MUST send your name AND the ticket confirmation no. (shown on your ticket) to [masked] in order to be on the Parking List.
Val and Louis will meet you at 6:00 PM in the bar area of the historic “Pig 'N Whistle Restaurant” at 6714 Hollywood Boulevard which is right next door to The Egyptian Theatre. Val will be wearing a gray flapper dress and a black, cat-like mask, and Louis will be dressed as Count Dracula.
(Please leave your cell phone number in the RSVP question where you will find mine in case you need to find out where we are.)

Supporting events like this helps to keep Hollywood’s historic venues in the hands of those who want to PRESERVE and not DESTROY to put up condos or office buildings, like when they “paved paradise to put up a parking lot.”
See you there!
