Greek, Mediteranean in general, and almost any seafood
That's tough. Mostly entres, but I like to vary and try new things. My favorite cookbook is the Silver Palate and I love to try dishes from it, but it makes too much if I cook it just for me. I have plenty more on my list I want to try and share.
I used to love anything from Plank - but they're now closed and I haven't found my new favorite replacement...yet. I also used to love the Seattle Special at Crown Pub - but that's off the menu now too. Now you know why I'm searching...
I lived in Columbus, OH for years - tons of fabulous restaurants. I also have a friend who is a chef for Legal Seafoods in DC (based out of Boston) - amazing! But my all time favorite was an Italian place in Boston (years ago) called Giacomo's.
I have a couple: on business at a steakhouse in downtown Houston (can't remember the name); a few at a 4-star in Columbus, OH (Worthington Inn) - my friend was the sous chef; and I attended a chef's association dinner in Cols. once - pretty amazing.
You had me at Greek food! I love exploring new foods and tastes - especially with good company. This sounds like a great group.
