Like Water for Chocolate

by Laura Esquivel

The San Francisco Chronicle wrote about this book: "A tall-tale, fairy-tale, soap-opera romance, Mexican cookbook and home-remedy handbook all rolled into one."

This novel was written already a long time ago, in 1989, and chances are high that you have heard about it, read it once or more and/ or have seen the movie. Inspired by some real Mexican hot chocolate I received with the book for christmas, I thought, it will be fun to read and discuss the novel in our book club. While sipping real Mexican hot chocolate, of course (I got enough of the stuff to share). Why not read fiction for once? And why not read good fiction again?

So, read, discuss and sipp with me! I am looking forward to it.

Best,

What are the redeeming features of wanting to read a book like this.
