Footscray Maker Lab Kick Off Session 2

There will be quite a few different activities tonight. Julian will help facilitate the session as an "open space", where people who like to present/explore something can do so. Some things are already on the agenda:

  • José will present a suggested "charter" for FML and wants your feedback.
  • Russell will bring some VR glasses and a truck (which looked like this a couple of weeks ago).

  • Sylvie will discuss possible ways to engage with the local community and will decide a date for her upcoming Footscray walking / eating tour.
  • Rob might bring a 3D printer.
  • Adam will close the crowdfunding poll and discuss the next steps. If you haven't voted yet, please do so here.
  • After the Meetup (from 8.30 PM...) we'll go to the Reverence Hotel for tacos and beer.

Dean has set up a Google Moderator forum, where you can add questions you'd like answered on Wednesday's Meetup. You can vote for questions you'd really like answered, and have a go at clarifying or expanding on other questions asked. Feel free to submit anonymously. The link is here.

Footscray MLab is an experiment and therefore we'll also reflect on the following:

- Do we see any patterns / clusters in the sociocracy?

- Energy levels

- What's missing?

Julian Walyers-Lynch facilitated our couple of hours giving in depth attention to four topics, giving them all plenty of creative attention.

Very good discussions and demos on 'new robot body' and 3d printing, as well as designing the FML enterprise and creating a walking map of footers

Especially if the tiny vents on the North wall are still blocked Studio 7A is a nasty place for 30+ people in this weather, especially with many computers etc. Let alone a lot of soldering &/or 3D printing (ie not a demo)
    Could we meet outside?

I've got a lecture at Uni on Wed Nights for the next few weeks so I won't be coming tonight. Soon as this course is over I'll be there!

That a scary date to schedule anything and I suspect we aren't the only ones to miss that point, so will doubtless need to fine tune my RSVP closer. hopefully adding guests.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
