New Organiser Group forming

Hi everyone,

We would like to invite anyone interested to join us for an organizers meeting at Konjo Ethiopian Cafe. Since Adam Jorlen has left for Sweden, and was the key catalyst for FML, we want to put together a new core organisers group of people committed to decision making and putting effort into building FML.

This new core group will be consistent with the existing FML charter and sociocracy principles. Part of that is that decisions can be revisited at pretty much any time, so we'll be able to add or remove people from this group fluidly should you not be able to make it this time but want to be involved in this circle of decision-making and action.

We're organising this event and the discussion around it mostly in the Yammer group for Footscray Maker Lab. If you haven't joined us in there yet, please send us your email address so we can invite you to the network.

I know this is short notice, but we're trying to get this project up and running as quickly as possible, which means a bit of shooting from the hip is necessary.

Hopefully see you there!

Came up with an open framework for moving forward on identified fronts with closer involvement in Footscray.

Sorry didn't quite realise this was running at 4pm on Thursday, in which case I won't be able to attend. Looks forward to hearing the discussion on yammer.

To keep momentum, even though losing a key organizer, is a significant indicator of a healthy group. If you can keep meeting regularly, making tangible progress every time, for as long as it takes ... you'll end up with a good outcome. It is important for others to now step-up. Good luck !
