GlobalPittsburgh First Thursday International Networking Night

If you are interested in meeting people from all over the world in Pittsburgh and learning more about different cultures, join us on Thursday, May 2, from 5:30-8:00 pm at AVA Lounge for the GlobalPittsburgh First Thursdays international happy hour. Bring your friends, family and colleagues or come alone - you will make new friends!

In May, we will celebrate Cinco de Mayo and feature Mexican heritage and culture. Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride. The holiday commemorates the unprecedented victory of Mexico against Napoleon’s undefeated French army at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. If you are in the mood to discover local Latin American culture and enjoy a margarita special, our First Thursdays networking event is the place to be.

GlobalPittsburgh First Thursdays is a regular monthly night of networking and socializing with different themes and different activities - but always with an international flavor - on the first Thursday of every month. It's an evening of friends, interesting conversation and good spirits with an international flair. Everyone is welcome!

AVA Lounge is located at 126 S. Highland Avenue in East Liberty.
Admission is FREE for paid GlobalPittsburgh members. Admission is $5 at the door for everyone else. Membership information will be available at the event, but you may also join GlobalPittsburgh now at and get in free on the night of the event.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
