The true story of a wealthy, physically disabled risk taker, the picture of established French nobility, who lost his wife in an accident and whose world is turned upside down when he hires a young, good-humored, black Muslim ex-con as his caretaker. Actually we were a wonderful group of five (two members of FLEP). I'll post a picture.

If you haven't had the chance to see this film, it's worth making the effort while it's still at the beautifully renovated Manor Theatre in Squirrel Hill. It's rare that a film (this one based on a true story) is both emotionally moving and humorous. I cried, and I laughed out loud. I've seen it twice, and I'd go again.

It was a friend who originally asked me to go see this film last night--too late to announce to you all. So I went, knowing I'd be going again with you on Thursday. I can't express the impact of this French film. Absolutely OUTSTANDING, and showing in the beautifully renovated Squirrel Hill Manor Theatre which continues to bring us foreign films. Let's support them!
