For those unaware, Peter Windsor was F1 pit lane man for SpeedTV, then involved in the USF1 team that never made the grid, thus fined by Bernie for not living up to their F1 contract... same Peter Windsor.
I was a lucky boy and grew up around race cars, real cars... Aston Martin's! Both mum & dad work in the Racing Dept in Feltham. Dad was racing mechanic, mum was team managers secretary. I was lucky to know some of the great drivers of the 1950s.
The Greatest of them all... I was lucky to meet some years ago at Laguna Seca, he was the invited guest and even brought his 250F (that he won the 1957 World Championship with). Dad and I walked up to look at the Maser... and young man says to my dad; "Are you Dickie Green from Aston?"  My dad replied "Yes", "My uncle remembers you..."

His uncle? FANGIO!

If you're not familiar with The Candy Store in Burlingame, it is a
remarkable collection of pre and postwar cars, including Nikki Lauda's
1977 F1 championship Ferrari.  I suspect your host will be Robert
Cory.  Peter Windsor is, of course, Peter Windsor.

I will not be in attendance as I'm going to a screening of the
independent comedy film, Skinnyfat," where I play a featured role.
