Spitalfields Winter Festival - Seasonal Street Shoot
Concept of this shoot:
Let's get into the holiday spirit and take some photos that give us that warm Christmasy feel we all love!
Bringing some musicality to the heart of Spitalfields, the Spitalfields Winter Festival is a celebration of song. With traditional festive pieces, carols and more, there is plenty to enjoy during the December festival.
Live festive music
Offering an eclectic mix of styles, periods and performances the Spitalfields Winter Festival is an ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of the high street at Christmas; forget your Christmas shopping, your table and menu plans, the endless work dos and the thousands of cards you have to write, and relax with the soothing sounds of the choirs and orchestras as they make festive music.
For those that like their traditional music at Christmas the Spitalfields Winter Festival caters in abundance. I Fagiolini will be celebrating their 25th birthday with a concert packed full of Renaissance music, and there's also a whistle stop tour of 18th century music with the European Union Baroque Orchestra.
Festive tunes in Spitalfields
With spellbinding Christmas songs and celebratory winter pieces, a whole range of groups are performing vibrant festive music to put you in a tingling Yuletide mood as part of the Spitalfields music events. Another highlight performances include a rendition of Handel's Messiah by La Nuova Musica in Christ Church Spitalfields, and modern works performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra. A well loved tradition, the Spitalfields Winter Festival 2011 is perfect for all the family as a special musical Christmas treat.
Meeting point: 12pm - outside Liverpool Street - Bishopsgate Exit (1) From there we will walk together to the Spitalfields Market.
Note: It's going to be crowded so please keep it in mind when you RSVP. After shooting we will find a nice cozy pub where we can have some Christmasy well deserved mulled wine :)
