Experiments: Round Two!

For round two of our focus on running experiments, we're excited to host Vin Vacanti (CEO of Yipit), Steve Cheney (Head of Bizdev at Groupme), and Andres Glusman (VP of Strategy at Meetup) as our speakers.

We'll mix up the structure slightly from last time and keep the length a little more compact.  Each speaker will share one of their experiments. Then Vin, Steve and Andres will come together to form a panel to answer questions and discuss challenges to orient teams and cultures around running experiments.

p.s. this time around, once the event is booked up, we'll be "closing" it on meetup and then if spaces open up, we will invite people manually from the wait list to try to minimize email noise.

Hope to see you on the 27th!

I'm glad the Lean Startup Meetup is paying more attention to testing methods.

Great discussion. Lean start up methodology sounds a lot easier than it is. Thanks for the tips.

This was a fantastic meetup -- one of the best I have been to in months. I learned a lot, trusted the sources of information, and was inspired.

The new format worked out well. I liked that we were able to hear from all of the panelists in a relatively short order. 10 minutes per speaker felt like enough, and the Q&A period was helpful to allow the audience to dig in deeper into the topics we were interested in.

I really like how our community is pushing the leading edge on lean. This meetup specifically; the experiments focus of the meetup is engaging, timeboxing was spot on and the panel was prepared and had great rapport with the audience. That might be because Giff does such a good job moderating? Anyway - the whole meetup was really enlightening. This one is a keeper for a while. Thanks guys!

Hey guys, if you are on the waiting list, I have a ticket to sell. Unfortunately, I can't make it on Monday. Please email me at [masked], and we can arrange an exchange.

    Best,

    Chris

Not sure the wait list function is working. I've been on the wait list for a couple of days now, yet it still shows 2 spots remaining but not offering to allow the next in line to take them.

It says there is 1 spot available, but RSVP closed. Is this Shawn's outstanding ticket?

    February 22, 2012

  • Erez A.

Hi Shawn, thank you for offering yor ticket, however can you just change your RSVP to "no" instead? This way someone from the waiting list get a chance to go? Thanks

I will not be able to attend anymore. If somebody would like my ticket, please reach out to me.

I must be missing the wait list option. Would gladly buy someone's ticket off them if they end up not being able to attend (mgc.crowley at gmail.com).

Thanks and best of luck w/ the event!

Manhattan - Meetup's hq is on broadway above Houston. Note we are on 9th floor, not the third floor
