As we get our families and snow shovels ready for the impending long weekend, one last opportunity to get your geek on.
Have a great blessed holiday from the crew at FVCP!
Jerome sent the following requesting I push this out:
Mike Pavlak and Jerome Hughes invite you to spend the day learning this Friday, December 21st!
We'll enjoy 6 PHP Master Series live presentations via remote at the Elgin Technology Center.
Designing Beautiful Software - Matthew Weier O'Phinney
Cryptography For The Average Developer - Anthony Ferrara
Your code sucks, let's fix it. - Rafael Dohms
Building a Firehose - Ian Barber
>From POX to HATEOAS, A Real Company's Journey Building a RESTful API - Luke Stokes
These 6 sessions were judged "Best of the Best" from recent conferences, and all 6 will be presented live on Friday.
More PHP Master Series details are here…
Omni is registering as an "Office Party" so there's no need to purchase a ticket at the eventbrite link above.
We've reserved the training room at the Elgin Technology Center for the day, which starts at 9am and goes until 4pm.
Current ('12 or '13) Omni members can attend for free, and friends of Omni from other groups like FVCP, WMCPA, the Chicago PHP Meetup, etc. are very welcome to attend for $25, half the cost of attending alone. We'll order some lunch (pizza) at midday to help keep everybody going.
Please send an email reply to Jerome Hughes ( jromeh at gmail ) so we're aware you'll be joining us!
And please do share this invitation with others and other groups who might want to attend.
If you have any questions, please also send them to Jerome and we'll do our best to answer them ASAP.
We very much hope to see you in Elgin for a great day of learning this Friday!
