Practice “essential” French for common, everyday situations. This is face to face practice speaking French for English speakers. We’ll look at dialogues and vocabulary for situations such as ordering food, shopping, asking directions, meeting people. We’ll practice using the expressions so you can work on your spontaneity, pronunciation and gain confidence. Max 2 students per session. Explanations in English with lots of practice in French!

This group is for elementary students in French but not for absolute beginners. Each session is 35 to 45 minutes and the cost is 7 euros per person.

The text we use is Communication Progressive du Français (Niveau débutant) by Claire Miquel. You can purchase your own copy (about 15 euros) or borrow a copy from me. It’s available at Gibert Jeune Bookstore, 10 Place Saint-Michel, métro St. Michel and from www.amazon.fr.

What members are saying

I was able to learn a lot more in this small meetup than in a larger class and will definitely attend more meetups. "

Cory

Very helpful! I really liked the format of listening, reading aloud, and answering questions. The small group size guarantees individual attention.
