The Franklin Film and Fine Arts Meetup was formed to support The Franklin Theatre (films, Studio Tenn, and other live events) along with other fine arts in Franklin including both The Boiler Room Theatre at The Factory at Franklin and Pull-Tight Players Theatre.   Films at the nearby Thoroughbred 20 will also be scheduled.  Arts events in nearby Brentwood are included as well.  Examples of other activities that may be scheduled include the Towne Centre Theatre in Brentwood, live broadcasts of performing arts events, art crawls, tours of museums and historic homes, and other arts and culture events.   By joining this meetup, you will get to socialize with these venues’ other film and fine arts loving patrons and attend the events with a group. You’ll also have an opportunity to form some new friendships and try out different restaurants in downtown Franklin and at the Factory at Franklin!

Since the Boiler Room, Pull-Tight Players Theatre, and Towne Centre Theatre have general admission seating, we can buy tickets separately but sit together at the performance.

The Franklin Theatre screened its first film in 1937 and entertained movie lovers for 70 years before closing in 2007.  It reopened on June 3, 2011, with a stunning lineup of movies, live music, and theatre.  Studio Tenn is providing outstanding live theatre to The Franklin Theatre.  We recently did a meetup for Studio Tenn.  Middle Tennessee is very fortunate to have The Franklin Theatre back.  Join this meetup and attend events to help ensure that The Franklin Theatre and local theatre will be here to entertain us for decades to come.
