Software Freedom Day

The annual celebration of Software Freedom Day in Fredericksburg. http://softwarefreedomday.org/
We talk/show the 'burg about Open Source (F/OSS) on Linux and other operating systems. It's a fun day to spend out in the open with friendly people getting to talk about the cool stuff we all love and burn for to people who may not be aware of what Open Source is or can do for them.

I have been using Linux/Unix since the early 90s! Due to family responsibilities, I have been unable to attend past meetings but I have a pass from my wife for tomorrow. :-) Looking forward to meeting fellow fans of open source software that are local to the Stafford, VA area! :-)

The To-Do list for this year includes the following items that I can
    think of:
~> Print out the promotional flier and post where allowed.
~> Print out copies of the info "one-sheet" for distribution at SFD.
~> Print out copies of the FredLUG info sheet for distribution at SFD.
~> Make copies of the latest OpenDisc DVD for distribution at SFD,
    image is at http://www.theopendisc.com/
~> Advise the rest of us what you will be bringing (I'll have the
small MacBook with Fedora 19 on it for people to play with, and a
    power strip).
~> Including Pi and Arduino items.
~> Anything else relevant you'd like to bring.

Ideas/suggestions welcome, and naturally participation. :-)

    Thanks,
    Mark

I'm coming. Weekend plans have changed! I'll bring my computer. It's Fedora 19 now, after ubuntu 12.04. 19 runs great, and I'm happy with it so far.

Hey LUG'ers. I need to run down to Williamsburg on SFD. I'm sorry I can't attend! See you at the following week's Saturday meeting. Dave
