I'm not sure where this event will meet, as of yet.  I'm moving to Echo Park on the 18th (http://www.meetup.com/pasadena-green-wheels...).

Does anyone know of good places to go dumpster diving near Echo Park?  There is the TJ in Silverlake, though you have to be discreet to avoid the security, and climb a fence to get into the dumpster coral.

We could meet in a different neighborhood, it someone has a place to host a meal as part of the event.  Or, we could do just the tour only.

Join us for a dumpster bike tour in North East Los Angeles! It's a chance for exercise, food rescuing and fun. We will gather the discarded goodies for personal redistribution. We usually have two or three stops and ride about 5-10 miles long.  Please bring panniers or a trailer on your bike, if possible. Otherwise, bring bags and/or a backpack to carry food home. We generally have one or two cars tagging along to help with cargo space and to accommodate those who are not riding bikes.
