New Toronto Artist's Way Cluster

***Please be committed to show up before RSVP'ing "Yes"

RSVP to join a cluster for going through "The Artist's Way" one chapter a week. Min 4 RSVP's required.

The Artist’s Way helps you sink into your natural creativity, enabling you to find and transport your artistic visions into the here and now. The word art is used very loosely here; it refers to anything requiring creativity, including, painting, writing, music, sculpting, acting, conversing, and whatever you can think of.

The book uses a programme established by Julia Cameron over a decade. She proved it in her own school for people longing to be artists, and then again millions of times over with the book. You will follow a simple daily routine to help you release your creativity, a weekly routine to replenish your creativity, and different weekly exercises to move you into a state in which you can comfortably and regularly perform art. The meetup is for you to go through the programme with a mutually encouraging and supportive group.

The first meetup will be an introductory meetup for you to introduce yourself, share your purpose and help establish a structure for the cluster. You do not have to have the first week’s exercises done, but it is good if you do. The cluster might deal with the exercises, if we have time after the introductions, setting up and chatter. Unless the cluster decides otherwise, you are not expected to keep up with every week’s tasks; we’ll have a catching up time, so you can go through the stuff the cluster has already passed. The cluster is intended to be supportive, not judgemental.

Yes, you might make lasting bonds with other members.
