Gil Shapiro will speak on Faith-The Greatest Imposter

Gil Shapiro will speak on Faith-The Greatest Impostor

What is it all about? Is there a God? Is there meaning and purpose in life? Is there an afterlife, a heaven or hell? Most people are convinced that “faith” provides correct answers to these ultimate questions. This lecture will make the case that “faith” cannot provide these answers because it is neither a valid nor reliable pathway to knowledge. Strong evidence will show that “faith” is not what it appears or claims to be. And, because “faith” fools, deceives and doesn’t deliver what it promises, it is rightly called “The Greatest Imposter.”

This event is sponsored by FreeThought Arizona and will be held at DuVal auditorium.

Gil was very entertaining and stressed the importance of reason to make decisions in life. The use of science, facts, and reason trumps dogma every time.
