"Las Palmas is one of the best places in town for beginner and intermediate skill levels to learn and practice. The environment is casual and relaxing, without the seriousness of a nightclub -- "lots of fun because of the group participation format!"
People are free to dance before, between, and after the classes. The music is all Latin, mostly salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, and cha cha. A few other popular styles are included periodically, including banda.
People of all ages participate in the Thursday salsa event, which has stood the test of time. If you are learning Spanish, this is a good place to practice. All of the employees, and at least half of the patrons, are bilingual." (Yelp review by Ken)
