ArtPower! At UC San Diego Presents
November 10, 2007
Saturday, 8:00 p.m.
The Neurosciences Institute, La Jolla

One of the most highly regarded ensembles in France, these three remarkable musicians have been connected by their love of chamber music since they were students together at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris. In fact, they made their first tour together when violinist Régis Pasquier was just thirteen years old. The Trio?s first major tour of the United States in 1998 won superlatives from critics and audiences for the brilliance, vigor, and suavity of their playing, characteristic of French chamber playing at its best. Régis Pasquier, violin; Roland Pidoux, cello; Jean-Claude Pennetier, piano.

PROGRAM Camille Saint-Saëns: Trio No. 1 in F Major, Op. 18; Gabriel Fauré: Piano Trio in D Minor, Op. 120; Maurice Ravel: Piano Trio in A Minor
