Announcing a new Meetup for The South Florida Francophone Club!

What: Homestead Winery (Visit, Tasting and Evening Fun) + FRENCH CONVERSATION

When: Saturday, July 3,[masked]:00 PM

Schnebly Redland's Winery
30205 SW 217th Ave
Homestead, FL 33030

Want to do something a little different in South Florida?

Yes we have a winery...maybe not like the ones in France, but this is a very beautiful place and worth a visit! They have lots of fruity wines made with tropical fruits, such as mango and avocado, but some more traditional ones, too.

The cost of this event will be $13.95 ($7 for the tour and $6.95 for the tasting of 5 of their 10 wines). If you do not drink wine or wish not to partake in the tasting part, you can subtract the $6.95 from the total!

We must meet promptly at 4pm at the winery to get set up for the tour, which will begin right at 4:30pm. The tour of the facilities will last approximately one hour. Followed by the tasting of 5 wines for about another 30 minutes or so.

Saturday evenings, they also have live music and a happy hour special between 6:30 and 7:30pm, but the party starts at 6pm. So I recommend we stay for this as well. They have many seating areas that host large groups and we can bring our own food and purchase their bottles of wine for a fun-filled, French-speaking evening! Bring something (like a pic-nic) to share with the group. Just note that they do not allow coolers or beverages on site, as those must be purchased there. They will provide us with ice buckets to keep the wine cool throughout the evening.

I also recommend we try to carpool, as it takes about 40 minutes to get there from Miami Beach or Miami and about 45 minutes to 1 hour from Broward (take the Turnpike South). Get in touch with me to see about carpooling with others in your area.

Details from their website:

This is a very special weekend as Bryan will be here both Friday & Saturday! He will delight us with his amazing fusion of latin and pop. Dance to the sounds of Salsa, Merengue and Top 40's music!

We invite you to pick up a meal or pizza from our friends at The Capri Restaurant or your favorite restaurant. Of course you can always bring something from home or your local market.

Cover Charge:
$8.00 for adults
$4.00 for kids

Happy Hour:
