22nd & Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA
Calling all bloodthirsty French Café members! Are you fed up with oppression? Sick of unfair taxation? Tired of the high prices of hay for your horse? It's time to storm the Bastille!
We're meeting at 4:30 outside of Mugshots Coffeehouse, at 1925 Fairmount [http://www.mugshotscoffeehouse.com/]. The street festival starts at 2pm, so feel free to arrive early and wander around, but do get to 1925 Fairmount between 4:30 and 5:15 if you would like to spend time with the group later. Since waving a French flag won't make us stand out, take a good look at the photo of Jean-Louis if this is your first event, so you'll recognize us. If you can't make it in time, you may not be able to find us in the crowd. Don't be late!
Then, around 5:15, we will head out to the main event and storm the Bastille (2027 Fairmount). Armed troops will capture Marie Antoinette (tossing over 2,000 Butterscotch Krimpets from the prison's medieval towers), and, ignoring her mocking cries of Let them eat TastyKake, drag the monarch to a real, functioning guillotine and deliver her into the hands of the Executioner. The crowd will decide her fate!
